In case you have been out of the loop, say hello to Adrene Ashford. Adrene is Fashion Stylist and recent breakout star from the reality series “Sorority Sisters” that aired on Vh1 a few weeks back and was canceled a few weeks later. #TrueTea

Throughout the few weeks of a Season we at #TSB kept out mouths shut just to see what the kick back was going to be. Well here is our rundown:

Adrene was the Fav.
MeToya was Lost.
Priyanka was the Hoodratt.
Shannon was the White girl who didn’t wanna be known as the White girl but was still a white girl.
April was Thirsty.
Everyone else was Void.

There’s your re-cap of the whole Season. Now, recently we seen a posting on Adrenes Instagram (Adrenes IG)that lead to this post. The comment said “HaHa. Was it worth it? Now your career is over.” Like the Lady she is Adrene didn’t say anything but Babeeeeeeeeeeeeee her Fans went IN.

Now you know we here at #TrueSlamBook.com like to Mind our Own Business. However, this one time I had to make an exception. Adrene was Adrene before Sorority of No Sisters and she will be Adrene after. This California Beauty is a #Fashion Beast. From Film to TV to Music Videos, she does it all. Truth be told (clears throat) she bout the ONLY one who was relevant before the show.

Now, though we may not reside in Atlanta we frequent the City. Every time we are there and take a trip down Peter St. “House of Adrene” (H. O. A) which is the Couturé Boutique owned by Adrene is NEVER pressed for customers. We’ve even seen her On a few Sets in the L. A. area.

All in all, let us end with this. To hate on a person based on perception is a sign of Weakness. So the show wasn’t Perfect, Bytch neither is You. This FINE ASS lil boy is too cute for words. That Caramel Skin, Smooth Complection, Perfect Nose, White Teeth, and Boyish Look. Ooh chile, I think he just put Diggy Simmons to Rest. Now here at #TSB you know we can be very superficial at times. With this said, you know when it comes to a man as #FINE as Daron (Listen how it rolls off your tongue, Darrrrrrooonnn. Ooh, I got a chill)  I know imagesall of us are familiar with his Vocals, Runs, Looks, and Body. Standing member of Iconic R&B Group 112. Known for such tracks as “Cupid” “Never Mind” “Love Me feat. Mase” and more. Daron was always, that Warm Brown complection having, Smooth Skin possessing, Body for the GAWDZ member that you got lost in while looking at the videos. (Q who? #Oop #NoShade)

With almost 2 Decades of Love Making, Baby Making, Mood Setting Music under his belt, we now get to see a new side from Daron Jones. (We’re fine with the Old Side….) Daron Jones is one of the co-founders of the group 112 and has always been a #FanFav amongst the base forever and a day. This Holiday Season, Daron decided to give the fans an added enjoyment to go along with their Holiday Cheer. (Fukk the Cheer. I want Daron to Sannngggggggg) Hitting us with “Christmas in Atlanta,” (Why Christmas had to be in Atlanta?) Daron Jones is reminding us ALL why his solo debut album was entitled “Uncensored.” (Catch It! I Caught it. Now, what we at #TSB plan to do with it is another story.)

 

“Christmas In Atlanta” isn’t just your normal Holiday Album. (Thank Goodness. Leave that to Mariah and Dondria.) This seduction filled, mood setting, Holiday memory making project is one not meant for less than a Freak Population. (We said it.) The lead single, entitled “Baby For Christmas” would make the ladies want to know what is for Christmas? (Hold please, while I unwrap the….. Oh, back to business.)

Mixing a hint of holiday cheer with smooth r&b tones Daron gives you something you put on after the children are asleep, the visiting relatives are gone and he can slide all up in and through it. (Ummmm) I hope Santa doesn’t come down the chimney while this track is playing, cuz babeeeeeeeeeeee it’ll be a true Hoe, Hoe, Hoe……. Oop! On Prancer.

As you prepare for the holidays and look for those last minute gift ideas that put the icing on the cake, make sure this album is on the list.

We ALL know, The Hot Boys haven’t been Hot for a while. However, the members have been able to remain in the light. Some more than others but it worked.

With the recent release of Hot Boy Turk from an almost 9 year bid, you may recall he took some shots at Baby and Cash Money. Turk, who is one of the Original Hot Boys and New Orleans native slightly shed light on the corruption, shade and unpaid contracts. The Hip Hop World was enraged by this and some attempted to turn on Turk. Most called him un-loyal and a trader and refused to believe the stories he expressed. Even though HE lived it and they watched from the at TV.

Well bitches, 2 years later another Original Hot Boy named Lil Weezie hit Social Media and spilt the TEA. Yesterday, he started with Twitter:

Turk took the high road and let Wayne know he supported him. After all the BULLSHYTT they put Turk through and Slander thrown upon his name. He still was on that #RNS and kept it Real. Turks Fans on the other hand were livid towards Wayne during his time of realization.

Wayne owes Turk an apology for making it seem as if he was lying or mad. I guess that’s why Turk fired shots on his recent release #YouMadYet! Come to think of it, Wayne wanna have a moment of realization now, how convent.

Ummmmmm, can I just get a signed copy for free? I am not spending my good hard earned $9.99 on this muffled ass album. Especially after I just got that Good Good from Faith Evans for the same price. #Oops I digress.

This album sounds like Mo was bored on a Saturday and said “Ohh boo, record me!” She went in the closet studio hopped on the mic and did everything on a first take. Now #NoShade, her Vocals kill for blood. But, I mean come on now it’s Lil Mo. We know her Vocals will always kill. But this off level ass project is for the birds.

I mean, I know the label had enough of a budget for a clear product. Hell for all that I coulda got it done for free.

Then to add to it, the album bout bi polar as all hell. One minute he’s her handsome. The next track she see him with his new chick in the car and now she want him back. Then skip a few tracks down and her man is her life and her everything!!!!!!!!!!! Gurl, can I get an excedrin Cuz u just made my head hurt.

All in All, I will admit. “Should’ve Never Let You Go” is my shytt. Chile she took me to a place that made me miss him and a Bytch had to catch my breath. Werkkkkkkkkk Mo. But the levels is still off tho.

Last but not least, who approved this Album Cover? Mo, really? Gurl, this Lion King ass hair in the Garden or Eden in this Scarlet Letter outfit is not doing it for me. It reminds me of family day in the park after church service. #Amend!!!!!!!

The world is in uproar over the Darren Wilson verdict. Usually we at TrueSlamBook.com stay away from political matters and religious based debates. However, this one causes for us to make a statement.

We have followed the story all the way through and many things have stood out. The thing that hurts us the most is the way the matter is being labeled.

This isn’t about a crime against a black male. This is a crime against an American Youth on American Soil. There are many contributing factors that go into the actions that took place that day. There has been evidence, testimony, expert evaluations and more. The one thing that is a #FACT is that we all were not there.

An officer killed a youth and the world began an uproar and called it a protest. Many artist made songs bashing the officer and bashing the justice system. I think by now we have learned that the world of justice is driven by interpretation, environmental upbringing and status quo. Equality is built on what one perceives should be oppose to true fairness.

New Orleans born rapper Turk dropped a song entitled “You Mad Yet.” This track however, is unlike the others. Turk decided to take the anger and direct it towards life. This track shows that individuals can understand that a situation is a circumstance that one can overcome. “You Mad Yet” shows how one can overcome adversity, defy the odds and turn the negatives into motivation.

At a time when Black America is so angered and outraged by the outcome of the Ferguson Verdict, is a time that motivation should be at an all time high. Fuel the drive with anger. Turn tragedy into triumph. Create a new generation of Activist. Begin to fight for the Civil Rights of a Nation and not just a Race. Allow Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton to lead from the office. It’s time the new generation learn to lead the Nation.

It saddens us to know that we have missed the mark on being united. Funny thing is, I just wanna know: “You Mad Yet???”

Thanks Turk for a staple track that’s deeper than the words expressed.
