Movie Review “Girls Trip”

We finally had the opportunity to experience “Girls Trip” and it was PHENOMENAL.

Best friends Ryan, Sasha, Lisa and Dina are in for the adventure of a lifetime when they travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival. Along the way, they rekindle their sisterhood and rediscover their wild side by doing enough dancing, drinking, brawling and romancing to make the Big Easy blush.

We walked into the film expecting to laugh through the entire movie and have an entertaining experience. However, upon completion of the film, you realize that there is a story amongst the humor and even deeper, a form of self realization within the story.

Jada Pinkett Smith

We all know Girls Trip is based on 4 girlfriends taking a trip to the Essence Festival in the hopes of reconnecting and fixing their strained relationship. During this trip, you begin to learn each member of the group and you subconsciously start to place your friends into their roles.

For those who haven’t seen it, we strongly suggest you do, however, we won’t give it all away, during the comedy there are some hurdles that each character experiences. These hurdles begin to cause you to realize which girl you relate the most to. Furthermore, you begin to ask yourself, “what would I do?”

From the Nights out on the town, to the intimate conversations in bed, this film has something for everyone. Male and Female.

Now! Let’s get into the film as a whole:

Story- 9/10

Fashion- 10/10

Eye candy- 10/10

Laughter- 10/10

Relateability- 10/10

Lil Kim has a Secret and We Are Ready!

We all know that Lil Kim has been on the road lately with Puffy as part of the Bad Boy Tour. Kim is playing no games. She has her baby with her and she is proving that her Movement is still Supreme!

Adding to her already booked schedule, along with her time on the road, the Queen of Rap has found time to sneak off and shoot a Music Video. Let the games begin.
Now, we have no official word from the Queen as our calls have gone unanswered. However, take a look and tell us what song you think it could be for.

Between the Flawless Beat and Outfit Slayage, we hope the rumors are true as we are Ready for what the Queen has to offer.

Bounce WAY Back

Now, no shade but we had to say this. We attended the recent File Premiere for the film “The Bounce Back.”

A relationship guru and best-selling author finds himself falling for the licensed therapist who questions his methods.

Make sure you go see it when it comes out as it is truly a cute story. We won’t say who but one of the team members shed a tear more than a few times during the film. LoL!

On another note, we have an issue we need to address…. Dear Hollywood STOP IT….. In the film Shemar Moore and Bill Bellamy give you Sensual Seduction and make you wanna ask for forgiveness for the thoughts in which you have experienced. HOWEVER, when they hit that Red Carpet the other night you had no choice but to look at the promo, then look at them… Then back at the promo and be like…. REALLY HOLLYWOOD????? These men must have been BEAT Face BOOTZ for the filming as on the carpet they looked like the Uncles from WAY Back…..

2

Then to top it off…. They hit you with a pose from 1993 like they was bout to hit the Soul Train Line…..

Chileeeeeee, someone come get these Ole G’s!!!!!

It’s no secret that these men are handsome. We also know they are past their Prime Years. However, the transformation that they do on camera compared to what hits the Red Carpet when there is no beauty team is absolutely unfair. LoL!!!!! Granted they can both still get it, but, the thoughts start to change somewhat when they show up serving you uncle realness……

It’s sad how a Bad video can make you not go buy the song because it will remind you of the bad visual. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I almost played this song at my party tonight for my staff. I guess not.

If any of our readers know this artist, please tell him to call 1-800-Help-A-Hoe and re-shoot this video. I hope she’s not related to him. #NoShade, but this is an Epic FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He shoulda called the girls back from “I Like That!”
